Emergency Medical Responder (EMT-B) (SCT-PRN)

***This position will work in the Non-Emergency Transportation Division of Grady EMS***

SUMMARY

The Emergency Medical Responder SCT - PRN provides emergency care to patients requiring EMS procedures in accordance with established medical protocols under the direct supervision of the Paramedic. This position ensures assigned first responder vehicles and equipment are in an acceptable state of readiness at all times. The Emergency Medical Responder will perform duties which will require heavy lifting and working in all types of weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required. 
• State of Georgia Licensed EMT-B certification required
• Current American Heart Association- Healthcare BLS Provider card required
• Must be able to obtain a valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable MVR according to departmental standards once employed.
• Insurable by the departmental provider at the standard rate is required.
