SUMMARY 

In accordance with the Grady Health System Policies & Procedures and the EMS operations/Communications manual, coordinate all aspects of the Quality Improvement section; perform case reviews, system-wide clinical reviews and other data gathering projects to ensure the compliance of the EMS Communications Quality Improvement Plan.  Provide feedback on communication staff performance, monitor trends, and make recommendation to improve performance.


JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Must have CPR Certification
  • NAED Medical Priority EMD certification required
  • ED-Q certified or ability to obtain certification within six months of assuming the assignment
  • ED-Q instructor preferred. ED-Q certification must be maintained
  • Attend and successfully complete AQUA Course through the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch
  • Two years experience as a 911 System Status Controller preferred with a minimum of one year experience as a 911 System Status Controller within Grady Health System or another high volume 911 communications center
  • Minimum of 30 words/minute with 95% accuracy
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Prior use of computer aided dispatch programs preferred.  Experience with TriTech, VisiCad system desired
