SUMMARY:
The Psychiatrist provides direct care and services to patients/clients. Works collaboratively with a team of professionals including nurses, licensed Behavioral Health clinicians and others to ensure the best outcomes for the person and in keeping with best clinical practices. Services may be provided in the clinic and/or community. The ideal candidate will provide person centered care including assessment, psychiatric treatment, medication management and coordination of care and referrals for health and other concerns. Use evidence based practices of person centered and recovery driven care. Communicate and collaborate with team including person served and their support system to design and individualized plan for recovery. Clearly document care and action plan for person served in the approved medical record and does so in a timely manner. Lastly, actively participate in and supports process improvement activities that facilitate improved clinical outcomes, patient safety and population health.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) - psychiatry required
- Must be licensed by the State of Georgia without restriction to practice medicine
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology required
- Candidates with previous experience providing behavioral health care services in the community strongly preferred.
